This is a 75 2L car with Berber Yellow paint. The miles are turned over @ 25000 on a 150 mph speedometer. The drive train is original (including the FI) and is very sound. Starts first time every time and has no issue while running. It is reliable for long drives or driving around town. The shift linkage and clutch seem fine but I have no history saying the clutch has ever been replaced. I have replaced the original heat exchangers with SS ones and a Bursch early style glass pack.

I spent most of my ownership with this car has been spent restoring the appearance. This was primarily paint work restoration of rock chips and door dings, etc. There were two small dents in the fenders that I was able to metal finish. The paint I used was Standox single stage 2K urethane, maybe not the same brand as the original paint but the same in every other way. The body looks great. I also repaired the jack receivers in the longitudinals. While I was doing that I installed Brad Mayeur longitudinal supports not to repair rusted longitudinals but so that they would never need to be repaired. I thought it would be easier to maintain original door gaps if I reinforced the chassis rather than repair it. I have not restored the engine compartment so the battery box is rusty. I did kill the rust on the battery box and applied rattle can paint and it is structurally sound with no perforations. If I were to restore the engine compartment I would not replace the battery box, just paint.

The suspension and brakes are pretty much original. The rear shocks are KYB gas units. There are no sway bars on the car.

The interior is original except for the seats being recovered in basket weave because I couldn't easily find the yellow plaid that came in this car. (I did save the original covers but they are worn out.) The seats have a partial sheeps skin cover. The carpets are in good but not new condition. The dash pad is in good shape but it does have a small crack (1/2") near the instrument pod. The original radio is in the car and the doors have never been cut for speakers. There is no center console but there is a center tray with a cushion (like every other 914.) The original owner's manual lives in the center tray.

In the pictures you'll see that the longitudinal covers are SS. These are fabricated items that I found these on e-Bay. I really like them. They fit well and look good. They are left with a brushed finish. The older pictures have the roof finished in the pebbled semi gloss finish that came on these cars. I always wanted to tie the SS longitudinal covers in more so I recently painted the roof in smooth metallic silver (again, original 914 color w/ Standox 2K paint.) To be honest I don't like the silver as much as I thought I would. I would change it if that made the decision to buy easier for someone.

The pictures that I've included have a couple from a year ago last spring and some from today. Not much has changed with the car since the first pictures. The car has current registration and inspection. It passes emission testing without adjusting the mixture. The only things that I know that aren't working are the odometer and the windshield washer (that connects to the spare tire.) I added the fog lights with the switch, both OEM. The registration expires this month so that will most likely be done by the time the car sells.

The car was sold by Strong Porsche in SLC. It has lived its whole life here on the Wasatch front. The Porsche mechanic, who delivered the car, (Ed Andrews), has serviced it its whole life. He suggested $8150 as a starting price. The car could be driven to a new home however, the Michelin MXV4 tires are not snow tires. They have just over 0.1" of tread left.

priced at $6800.
